Love hurts when rich parents calculate cost

On the outside, Wang Yue looks like a man who has it all: he drives a smart BMW car, he wears sharp Armani suits and he carries designer Gucci bags.

Yet, there is one FF14 Power leveling thing he cannot have - the woman he loves. The 26-year-old was forced by his wealthy family to split from his girlfriend of four years "because we`re not a good match", or in other words, because she came from a poor background.

With the demand for prenuptial agreements rising nationwide, and not just among the rich, many fuerdai - the Chinese term for children born to powerful FFXIV Power leveling families - are starting to feel the pressure.

According to the reports, China`s first generation of self-made millionaires are particularly concerned about their children dating people raised in the countryside.

Wang, whose father owns several hotels and cheap ffxiv gil holiday resorts and whose mother is a real estate investor, said his parents were "visibly disgusted" when they met his ex, Xiao Mo.

"She is just an ordinary girl from a small town in Sichuan province," he said, his eyes lighting up as explained how they met while studying at Wuhan University in Hubei province. "We saw each other at a party of a mutual friend. It was love at first sight," he said, smiling.

His parents did not share his rs gold enthusiasm. "I never expected such an intense reaction," said Wang, recalling the time he took Xiao to meet his parents in the summer of 2007. "When they heard about her background, they were so disappointed. They warned me that the relationship would never work out."

In 2009, after years of fighting, Wang decided to break up with Xiao, who by then had moved back to Sichuan. The final straw had been when his parents threatened to sever financial ties with the couple if they married.

For money or love?

Faced with the prospect of their child marrying someone "unsuitable", wealthy parents usually resort to one of two options: engineer a breakup or demand a prenuptial agreement.

With inheritances worth billions of yuan at stake, "prenups" are designed to prevent fuerdai from falling prey to gold-diggers.
In fact, judging by a three-month study to buy runescape gold measure the attitudes of almost 1,000 students in Guangdong province, they have good reason to be cautious.

Roughly 60 percent of females polled by researchers with the Women`s Federation of Guangzhou admitted they want to marry a fuerdai who stands to inherit a large sum of money from his parents. More than half of male respondents shared the same sentiment.

Finding the one

Rich parents are increasingly playing matchmaker for their offspring, with varying success.

However even for well-matched fuerdai couples, their runescape money parents insist prenuptial agreements are still vital to prevent conflicts in the event of a divorce.

According to data provided by a Shanghai law firm, almost 90 percent of the divorce disputes it handles between people without prenups are over the division of property.

"Scientifically speaking," said Zhang at the Shanghai Psychological Society, "shared attitudes and values, as well as similar upbringings and education backgrounds, can potentially provide the foundations for a solid married life."

“However, although a parent`s desire to find a good match (for their child) is wise, it`s not essential,” he added.

Spirit of Hong Kong

The cute but clumsy pink piglet, McDull, just might be the most contagious thing this summer. Hong Kong`s favorite homegrown comic character is returning in his ffxiv gil latest adventure, McDull Kungfu Ding Dong Ding, on July 24.

The series of McDull films actually runescape money began in 2001 with the film My Life as McDull. He was a dim-witted child who had many dreams, and, even when he lost one he got new ones.

This latest film, following in that seriously funny ff14 gil tradition, has McDull studying taijiquan to prepare for an international kindergarten martial arts tournament. While the audience laugh their heads off, they also can`t help getting a bit tearful over the unsophisticated but upbeat piggy.

This film is not set amidst the typical crowded FF14 Power leveling skyscrapers and street bulletins of Hong Kong, but features the Wudang temple and Three Gorges Dam instead.

The story takes place during summer vacation: Some of McDull`s classmates go off to New Zealand to a ski resort, some study Mandarin at Peking University, and others travel to Oxford to study English. McDull has to go to Wudang Mountain to FFXIV Power leveling study taijiquan. With no air conditioner, or TV programs he sheds a few tears by himself. Can the underdog cope?

Just like before, his mother Ms Mak has great hopes for Mcdull in his martial arts studies. But, at Wudang, McDull apparently gets more fun out of hanging out with his new friends. The piglet even cooks instant noodles in an alchemy stove. Of course, he can`t escape being badly punished for that bit of mischief.

Things keep changing until he discovers a big cheap ffxiv gil secret, which becomes his motive for learning. One message the film conveys is that a great project takes a long time to complete and we have to learn to wait for things naturally.

"McDull represents the spirit that the people of Hong Kong are beginning to lose. People are putting too much emphasis on efficiency and rs gold immediate results," said the McDull creator Brian Tse. "But, Mcdull is slow and patient, and not afraid of repeated failures."

The cartoonist Alice Mak, Tse`s wife, added: "He has a heart of gold and you`re always afraid that he`s too simple-minded or honest to survive in this brutal buy runescape gold world. But I wouldn`t want him to ever grow up in the cartoons. In fact, we all have part of the not-so-perfect McDull in our bodies."

Patriotism goes to Hollywood

Patriotism goes to Hollywood
If you`re sensing a theme here, it is that patriotic films need not be accurate or even historical to win the heart – and FF14 Power leveling the wallets – of filmgoers. They simply need to make audience members feel good. And throwing a bunch of stars on the screen doesn`t always do that.

Take Pearl Harbor, for example. True, there was lots of action, but the silly love FFXIV Power leveling triangle between Ben Affleck, Josh Harnett and Kate Beckinsale distracted from the focus of the film.

"It required a lot of patience for an cheap ffxiv gil audience to sit through the dithering," Time magazine`s Richard Schickel wrote.

The big names don`t hurt, of course, but they are not enough. The Josh Hartnetts and Zhang Ziyis of the acting world need to be rs gold accompanied by timeless themes – not tired cliches.

Han Sanping, director of The Founding of a Republic, thinks patriotic Chinese films should take the tastes of today`s viewers into consideration.

"The Chinese patriotic films with a socialist theme were so monotonous and stereotypical," Han said recently during an runescape money interview with sina.com.cn. "It would be hard for them to attract people anymore, especially for the post-80s and 90s generation."

How many producers does a movie need?

Using a combination of smarts, charm, doggedness — and access to loads of cash — Ryan Kavanaugh over the last six years has become a bona-fide power player in Hollywood. Once a failed venture capitalist, Kavanaugh, 36, now co-produces movies with Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures and ffxiv gil through his own company, Relativity Media.

The red-headed, freckle-faced would-be mogul, who prefers sneakers and jeans to loafers and suits, usually sees his name attached to lower-brow fare such as this month's Nicolas Cage-starrer "Season of the Witch." But it's clear he aspires to buy runescape gold something greater, also financing films from previous Oscar nominees such as Ridley Scott ( "Robin Hood"). Awards glory has eluded him, but that seemed destined to change this year with the critically lauded boxing drama "The Fighter," which he co-financed at a cost of $23 million and has been actively championing for Oscar consideration.

On the morning of the Golden Globe nominations, Kavanaugh beamed like a proud papa when the movie, which stars Mark Wahlberg, reaped six nominations. "I've produced hundreds of movies, but this one, I saw every piece. I think these people are the best, and ff14 gil when others recognize how incredible they are it's validating, it's humbling," he said.
Alas, the brass ring that Kavanaugh so desperately covets remains outside his grasp. While "The Fighter" is getting plenty of love in the run-up to the Academy Awards, should the film's name be called on Oscar night for best picture, it will not be Kavanaugh jumping onto the stage to accept his statue. Audiences who see the movie will see his name listed as one of six producers on FF14 Power leveling the credits, but in the eyes of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, three people — David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and star Wahlberg — are the producers of "The Fighter."

Kavanaugh lost his final appeal with the academy this week, after already having been denied a credit by the Producers Guild of America. Kavanaugh has said that he was involved in all aspects of the filmmaking process, but two sources close to the FFXIV Power leveling movie disputed that. The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of hurting its Oscar chances, said Kavanaugh was barely involved in the process and never was seen on the set.

At least 16 people sent letters on Kavanaugh's behalf, including director David O. Russell, producers Wahlberg, Lieberman and Hoberman and cheap ffxiv gil others involved in the physical production of the film. "Ryan and Tucker [Tooley, Kavanaugh's production partner] were definitely involved in the process, there is no question," said Ari Emanuel, Wahlberg's agent. "Does it reach the level of the criteria that is needed to be credited, I have no idea. But Ryan and Mark have a great relationship."

Fights such as Kavanaugh's have become something of an rs gold annual occurrence at Oscar time as producers' credits have multiplied — contender "The Kids Are All Right" has 20 people with some sort of producer credit. And it illuminates one of the more murky questions in Hollywood: What exactly does a producer do?

In truth, being a producer can be a time-consuming, exhausting job. Producers often serve as a starting point for a film, acquiring a script or working with screenwriters to develop a movie idea. They are instrumental in hiring directors and runescape money actors. Some also find the cash to make the movie, particularly crucial in an era when studios are reluctant to fully finance a film themselves. Once a movie enters pre-production, producers usually work on hiring various department heads, such as the production designer, the set designer and the head of wardrobe. They often spend time on the set, consulting with the director and solving time-sensitive problems. But the job doesn't end there — a producer often offers suggestions to the editor in post-production and works on the marketing campaign to sell the movie.

Brainstorm with our young business people

The Ministry of Education recently announced that from January 1, young start-ups can get tax rebates of up to 8,000 yuan per year in their first three years of operation. It’s certainly a good time to go into business for yourself.

Zhang Fuhong, director of a training center for ffxiv gil young entrepreneurs in Wuhan, claims that new businesses can enhance their chances of success by coming up with great ideas and selling points. “Young companies know their peers’ lifestyles. The start-ups’ own needs can become the future market’s ones,” said Zhang.

Here, we invited five young start-up founders to share their ff14 gil ideas in the four trendy areas: They believe that finding a niche market is important to success.

Micro blog

The number of micro-bloggers in China keeps increasing. The rapid information-spreading potential has inspired our young businessmen.

Huang Tiantian, 21, a sports training student from Huazhong Normal University. Owner of Mary Box boutique in Wuhan.

Huang T: I want to start an object hunting business. If you spot someone wearing a dress you like, take a picture of it and post it on our micro blog. This will cost one “micro blog coin”, a virtual currency which users need to buy first with FF14 Power leveling hard cash. The first follower who is able to locate the dress earns the coin.

Successful example

Micro Blog, the first news magazine based on micro blog in China, will debut in March 2011. The magazine uses micro blogs as news clues and FFXIV Power leveling develops them into in-depth stories.

Leftover singles

The popularity of TV dating shows brings the topic of “leftover singles”, or men/women who remain single in their 30s, into the spotlight. Some of them are eager for romance, while others enjoy being single. Here are some ideas to meet their needs.

Hu Junchao, 23, a geographic information system graduate from cheap ffxiv gil Sun Yat-sen University. Founder of Muu.com.cn, an original comics sharing website in Guangzhou.

Hu: I want to offer break-up advisors for women. I think the word “leftover” comes from the misconception that women are always the ones left on the shelf. Our company will teach women how to break up with a tough and dignified attitude. Later, if they like, they can join our club to search for their Mr Right.

Successful example

The partner-seeking website Jiayuan.com has launched a service where “headhunters” find potential partners for clients. It costs from 20,000 to over 100,000 yuan, depending on how complicated the requirements are.

Traffic jam

Traffic jams during rush hours are a growing rs gold headache for many commuters. But travelers’ anxieties might also create business opportunities.

Huang Zixi, 24, an international trading graduate from Shanghai International Studies University. Founder of Koraku Blue denim collection in Guangzhou.

Huang Z: I want to offer rapid food delivery to drivers stuck in traffic jams. Our company will set up food stands at each end of traffic jam black spots. Drivers call and tell us where they are, and our dispatchers will roller-skate their food to them.

Successful example

As reported by Jinan Times, drivers in Jinan can now pay people to buy runescape gold wait in the jam for them. Two people will arrive by motorcycle within 15 minutes of the driver’s call. While one person waits in the jam, the other takes the driver to their destination by motorcycle.

Otaku

More people are choosing to stay in rather than go out. They are known as “Otaku ”in Japan, whose lives are spent largely online. Meeting their needs can mean rich pickings for new businesses.

Huang T: I want to open a cosplay housekeeper company. Few Otaku spend time cleaning their rooms. Because they are fans of animation and comics, we send runescape money housekeepers dressed as Loli and Sister Yu to Otaku boys’ homes, and those dressed as Syoutar ou to Otaku girls’ homes.

Successful example

Londoner Josh Magidson sold the website he set up at university for 500,000 pounds (5,600,000 yuan). The website, Eatstudent.co.uk, allows students to view local takeaway menus and order food to be delivered to dorms.

Newbies, Walk before you run

THE first steps into the workplace can be confusing. Fresh graduates are eager to impress, but usually end up running errands like photocopying, which is frustrating.

Newbies have a choice: They can either let these disappointments spoil their new working lives or learn to adapt.

1. Learn from basic jobs

Everything starts from the basics. Bankers start by counting notes and ffxiv gil sales managers start with door-to-door selling. Tao Pei, 22, spent her first month in Beijing as a trade specialist at a food company faxing and photocopying.

“I was upset,” said Tao. “I was expecting to deal with clients instead of printers.” But she gradually discovered that running errands taught her how the whole business functions.

For example, Tao is told to photocopy remittance vouchers and ff14 gil client invoices for double checking before the originals are mailed. This helps to avoid any potential disputes later on.

“Senior workers don’t explain these details to you, but you can learn FF14 Power leveling through doing basic jobs,” said Tao.

How to be a happy errand runner:

- Say “Hi” to people and make friends with your colleagues.

- Read files while waiting by the printer. They are free “textbooks”.

2. Learn to handle pressure

Many problems met by newbies are as a result of a lack of practica FFXIV Power leveling work experience.

On her first day at work, Tao stood puzzled in front of the scanner. “When assigning tasks to me, my colleagues assume that I can figure how to do things out by myself,” said Tao.

In order not to let them down, Tao even uses her spare time to improve her performance in the office. “The senior staff are able to put work aside when they walk out of the office, but I can’t,” she said.

The website 51job.com recently conducted a survey on cheap ffxiv gil employee insecurity. Among the 365 interviewees, 43 percent have less than three years’ work experience. About 67 percent of interviewees often feel insecure. The report points out that the main source of newbies’ insecurity is fear about work performance.

Cai Zhiyang, 23, who started to work in an electric power enterprise three months ago in Guangzhou, also admitted to making extra efforts to ease the pressure of his first job. He volunteered to stay on night shifts during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. “I can afford the loss of holidays, if that helps me to buy runescape gold master my job more quickly,” said Cai.

Easy ways to relax:

- Keep a bubble wrap in your desk drawer. Press it and feel your stress disappear with the sound of popping bubbles.

- Meditate for 10 minutes during your lunch break.

3. Get used to having less freedom

Gu Zhiren, 22, works at an IT consulting firm in Shunde, Guangdong, an hour from his home in Guangzhou. His job involves endless business trips, which fuel his desire to make regular visits home.

“At college, I could go out on dates and rs gold visit my grandma whenever I liked in my spare time. But now, I cannot afford such freedom,” complained Gu.

Office etiquette and rules might also imperil new runescape money employees who haven’t yet made the switch from campus mind to office mind.

Tao Pei once broke into a run in the office during an urgent task, but was pulled to one side and scolded by a senior member of staff, who said to her: “Slow down and be quiet. You’re in the office now, not at college!”

Tao used to feel constrained by such rules, but now she has a fresh perspective: “Respecting office rules is an indicator of professionalism.”

Three office rules you must know:

- Clean your desk before starting work.

-Control your time spent on text messages and phone calls if they are not related to work.

-Keep your voice down and your footsteps soft.
